Luke Noland - Vice President
Hi! My name is Luke Noland. I was nominated for the offices of President, V.P., Secretary and Treasurer. I would be happy to serve the club in whatever capacity that you elect me. I was born in 1987 at Roseville Hospital. I have lived in two states; Oregon and California. In California I lived in Woodland, San Jose, Roseville and Fair Oaks. In Oregon we lived in Klamath Falls for almost 2 years. My dad is a school teacher and wrestling coach. My mom is my teacher and she has taught me and my brother and sisters since I was in third grade.
I like homeschooling a lot and will do it through high school (barring an anthrax attack and grave devastation to our society). I want to be a bum. My dream is to live on the streets of San Francisco; just kidding. I really want to fly F-16's in the Air Force or Navy (not to copy Adam). I am in the 9th grade. Another of my goals is to serve in politics. My hobbies include wrestling, football, fishing, archery, working on our fort. I am a member of Contenders for the Faith, 4-H Vice President 2001-2002, 4-H Swine Project, ACA Wrestling Team, and play the trumpet for Mr. Rainwaters' homeschool band. I am currently in AWANA Varisty. Last year I began playing the piano and hope to learn the drums soon. My favorite subject right now is history; and I am taking an internet class called Great Book Tutorial ( thank you Ivan).

Adam Leib - Treasurer
My name is Adam Lieb, and I was born on November 18th, 1987. I have six people in my family, my Dad who is a detail engineer for I. C. E. who enjoys coaching soccer and golfing, my Mom who stays at home and home schools me and my sisters. Her hobbies are cross-stitching and doing crafts. I have an older sister named Stephanie who likes riding horses, and two younger sisters Rachel who also likes riding horses, and Sara who likes playing dress-up all the time. I live on a small ranch where we keep a variety of animals like goats, chickens, and a horse. My family is currently in our fourth year in 4-H in which we do a variety of projects. In 4-H my Mom and two of my sisters are in the horse project and the arts and crafts project. Dad and I are in the dairy goat and honey bee project. I have three French Alpine goats, and two bee hives. In the I am the president and have been an officer for two of the previous three years. Some of my other hobbies are playing the French Horn, the Trumpet, and playing soccer. Another hobby that I love to do is to golf. I spend hours at the driving range with my Dad working on my swing. I also like jumping on our trampoline, playing with our dog, and playing video games. Hiking in the "Great Outdoors" is one of my favorite things to do. My Dad just took me on a backpacking trip a couple of weeks ago in the Tahoe National Forest. We stayed there for three days during which we hiked about eighteen miles with me carrying a twenty pound pack and my Dad carrying about twenty-five pounds. When I finish high-school I hope to enter an Air Force Academy and eventually become a "Top Gun" fighter pilot. |

Michael Benavidez - Webmaster
Ok, I know. Webmaster isn't really on officer, but I worked so hard on this, that I think I deserve to have my bio here too! Anyways, I was born in sunny, smoggy, southern California in January of 1986. When I was born, my parents decided to move, thinking (rightly) that Los Angeles was no place to raise a kid. Thank goodness for my parents. We moved to Santa Cruz, where I passed 8 happy years, (interruped intermittently by earthqakes). Then, one fateful day, my dad got transfered to Sacramento. We moved up here, and have lived here ever since. I first got involved in debate at the Sacramento CFC Conference in December of 2001. I went to my first tournament on December 29th in Modesto, with Karen Otto as my parter. We went 2-2 and placed 7th overall. Besides debate, I am involved in schoolwork (duh), Boy Scouts, and pro-life activism. I like to think of myself as a social reformer ;). When I become a self sufficient, contributing member of adult society, I would like to either be a lawyer or an investigative journalist. |
